POINTILLISTIC VIEW OF A HILLY LANDSCAPE - MARIA DREGER
A very freshly painted pointillist landscape of the 1920’s. The quick tapping of the top of the brush has created a fleeting representation of the changing colors in the landscape. As if the landscape is still moving in front of your eyes. A true quality piece.

Maria Luise Wilhelmine Dreger was born on August 30, 1881 in Danzig. She was raised in a family very close to nature. Maria’s father was a forester, who first worked in a forest near Danzig. Later the family Dreger moved out to Rüdersdorf near Berlin, where they found a new place in the nature, near the ‘Kalksee’.
It is there where she got her inspiration and love for painting. Most of her subjects consist of landscapes or flowers.
